We talked about: Doug W.'s movie promotion tour. How successful will the Pope's appeal to Anglicans be? The upcoming election. Is the United States a republic or a democracy? Are there any examples of successful countries with small governments? Which would you choose: Guns completely prohibited or mandatory gun possession? Afghanistan, how do we win, how do we get out? The begottenness of Christ, and the image of God.

The Anglicans I know (that is, those in America) may not be representative, but, generally, the most common response to the pope's invitation so far has been "Thanks but no thanks."
